And I'm Off

Andddd.....I'm off and running with my dream of blogging!!! WOOHOO!!

As I lay there in bed last night, listening to the sound of a motorcycle in my bedroom, oh wait that was just my husband snoring away, not a care in the world, meanwhile I am having a full out right panic attack! I began talking to myself, I said "self, now that I have moved forward with this blog, what will my first review be on"? I mean there are a TON of products that I could review right? This should be a piece of cake! Yeah right a piece of melting ice cream cake. My mind raced and then it hit me! It's time for the kids to go back to school, I should review a product that might help fellow mothers when deciding on a backpack!

Now, I have 4 kids and 2 step kids. I've bought my fair share of backpacks. My oldest son is 21 and my youngest is 6 so if I do the math correctly.....awww who am I kidding, I'm not going to do the math, I hate math! But I think you get the point. Lots O bags!

When I was a kid Jansport backpacks was the schniz! They were beautiful, different colors, designs, cool pockets (I had to have somewhere to put my unicorn trapper keeper, right?) and they came with a lifetime warranty. Did anyone really cash in on that?? I mean every year mine tore and I had to get another the following year. I drove my mom crazy year after year trying to decide on which one I wanted.
Don't mind the little bit of puppy hair (we have a Siberian husky)

Well I have finally found a backpack that can withstand the abuse of a preteen boy! I know you're thinking "get on with it already", so I'm going to get to the point.

Adidas makes (in my opinion) the BEST backpacks!!  The first one I bought was in fact 4 years ago. It was an Adidas Loadspring. It was black with a cool yellow neon trim... just perfect for a boy full of life. It has padded straps, it has multiple pockets.

The inside of this thing is HUGE! He managed to cram all of his books, pokemon cards, soccer ball and beef jerky  into this thing. There is a pocket for a cell phone and a laptop pocket, neither of which he had at the time.

After the first year with that bag, I decided that it looked too new to go buy another (the boy wasn't happy, but the wallet was). Even now it's still in pretty good shape and he uses it to go on overnights.
The yellow neon did fade a little and my only gripe about this bag is, it needs to have the waste and chest straps. Sometimes it would fall down his shoulders.

Now on to the next 2 years. That following year we went and got yet another Adidas backpack. This one is the UltraRide. It is even bigger then the last. It's black with some cool orange flair to it, along with a pretty blue lining. This thing has many pockets including a cell phone pocket, tablet pocket and laptop pocket, and a pocket for your head set (I mean how many devices does a kid need to have on them in a day??) This thing looks brand new (other than a little dirt).  Again my only gripe I have is, I wish it had at least a chest strap.

Both backpacks were around the $60 mark and I bought them both at Kohls.

He used both bags for 2 years each and I believe he will go a 3rd with the UltraRide. So, on behalf of my wallet and sanity, I'd like to say "Thank You Adidas!"
